Comments:

a three-song single featuring the songwriting, vocals and acoustic guitarwork of jude cowan, backed by her pop band. the title track is an upbeat, bar-rocking ode to the average american male, but the real gems are the other two songs: the stately, pastoral guitar swirl of "great northern hotel" and the softly psychedelic instrumental "we are lovers", both of which are the floating flute work of louise brocklehurst. jude's voice is adequate, but an occasionally-used raspy growl gives the music an added edge to emphasize the punch.
