Opener "Something Wicked" seems designed for dancefloors, all hard beats and a strong lead vocal. "Deep Red Mahogany" is a dreamy song that recalls what Curve was up to in the early nineties, all tough shimmery veneer and icy vocals. The cover of "West End Girls" is original enough to warrant attention, yet retains the song's charming nature well enough. It's a fine album. Well worth a look if you liked Design. (stjarnell@yahoo.com) Thanks to Anna Maria Stjärnell for work on this entry.
