General comments:

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper's music is urgent—reviewers talk about gits and gristle and her unusual lyrics. Her songs tend to the epic (and occasionally bombastic—I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing) with shifts and changes that match the lyrics. Tough, hurt, strong, and strange.(Neile)

ripely pine is the only one we've heard so far.

Comments:

Hot damn, this is good stuff. One of the best albums of the year. (gordoja@optonline.net)

I find this a really mixed journey, and a little long for it, clocking it at almost an hour. However, I adore several songs: "Bird Balloons," "Regarding the Stairs," and most especially the closer, "taxidermist, taxidermist"—which is truly a tour de force. What a song! (Neile)
