Koala MotelRelease info:2006—Messenger Records—MSGR24 Availability:See Anne McCue's site Ecto priority:Recommended Group members:Anne McCue—vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, cheatin' banjo, lap steel, trash can, string sounds Guest artists:Dusty Wakeman—electruic bass, double bass, vocals Produced by:Dusty Wakeman & Anne McCue Comments:Anne McCue records a solid, tough country rock and has a few famous guests along. She's more than capable of standing on her own two feet. "From Bakersfield to Saigon" chimes brightly and has a slight resemblance to The Pretenders' pop-rock sound. "Hellfire Raiser" is as tough and tender as its guest Lucinda Williams. "Sweet Burden of Youth" is sweet and sad. This is a solid, likeable record.
