Comments:

Janine Nichols' band play jazzy, highly poetic music with a very appealing sound. "Sigh of relief" is an intriguing, dreamy drift of a song with a strong mood that recalls early Jane Siberry. "Do as I do" is a folksy song with a distinctive feel that's unique. John Sebastian's "Darling be home soon" gets a sensitive reading, that's very jazzy and loose, Nichols' gorgeous vocals at the centre. "The grey funnel line" closes the album on a good note; it's a song by Cyril Tawney, sung in a beautiful way. It's light and almost improvisational, and highly expressive. It's a great album.
