(sophiagurley@hotmail.com) Recommended first album:Image is her debut Recordings:Image (2000) ImageRelease info:2000—Go West! Records—1008-2 Availability:Unknown Ecto priority:Recommended for folk fans Group members:Jean West—acoustic guitar, electric guitar, vocals Guest artists:Kevin Webb—electric guitar Comments:Image shows a good range of earnest folk and rocking songs. Musically, there are some very nice sounds here. I'm not sure the recording situations were the best as her vocals often sound a touch tinny and could be mixed a little higher/more carefully. Overall, though, this is an enjoyable, solid album with no bad tracks. I'd love to hear where she goes from here. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com) Thanks to sophiagurley@hotmail.com for work on this entry.
