Tiger ZaneCountry of origin:U.S. Type of music generally:Alternative pop Status:Most recent release, Nashville Sessions (2015) See also:Tiger Zane's site Comparisons:Shawn Colvin Covers/own material:Own General comments:On the basis of her debut, Tiger Zane has a bright future. Her songs bristle with hooks and energy, and she has a fine ear for an interesting arrangement that lifts this far above the average. Lyrically, however, she stumbles: "You are a man/I want to be your woman" is a particularly toe-curling example, but she sings the lines with such grace, beauty and style, you're inclined to forgive her.
